The Crew Fitness program uses the bike and the rowing machine to deliver a low-impact workout that anyone can jump into.

Each class is filled with people of all ages, abilities and sizes. “The cool thing about Crew is that ANYONE can row and ride. The classes are set up so that each person pushes themselves at a level that’s right for them,” explains founder and owner, Carrie Cox.
Carrie Cox opened the first Crew Fitness in 2015 in Mobile, AL. She has since opened locations in Houston, TX (2018) and Midtown Mobile (2022).
There’s no running or jumping at Crew, so your joints will thank you later. Each person chooses their own weights, and the instructors give the Crew options to make each exercise right for each individual. For example, one person may use 2 heavy dumbbells to make his squats tough and build strength and the person next to him leaves their weights on the floor, and performs half the reps, focused more on functional movement, mobility and cardio. These modifications are celebrated and encouraged at Crew.

The Spring Crewathlon will take place Saturday, May 15 at Heron Lakes Country Club. The event features a 250m swim (10 laps in the pool), 2500m row on the Concept2 rowing machine, and a 2.5K run (1.55 miles) on the beautiful Heron Lakes golf course path.
Everyone (age 16 and up) is invited to participate in the Crewathlon! We have separate divisions for male and female competitors, team relay division, and the new SUPER SPRINT course, which consists of 100m swim (4 laps), 500m row, and 400m run.
Individual Competition:
250m swim + 2500m row + 2.5k run
3-Person Team Competition:
Same distances as individual, with one teammate completing each leg of the race
SUPER SPRINT:
Individual Speed course:
100m swim + 500m row + 400m run
Competitors and their families are invited to enjoy the day at the Heron Lakes Country Club pool after competition.
Relay teams consist of 3 athletes, each completing one leg of the triathlon. Distances for team competition are the same as individual competition. Teams can consist of all men, all women, or a mix. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest man, woman and team. The first heat will feature the most competitive Crewathletes. All heats will be timed, judged and ranked, and the champion can come from any of the heats.

The Health Dare will take place from March 29-May 1. We DARE YOU to complete 21 classes over these 5 weeks. We DARE YOU to dial in nutrition and sleep, and we DARE YOU to make a positive shift in your mindset.
The Health Dare is your opportunity to focus on YOU: your fitness, your nutrition, your mindset. Health Dare participants will receive body composition data at the start and finish of the challenge, tips on how to track your nutrition, daily mindset challenges, and exclusive access to the Health Dare private Facebook group where we will share recipes, daily encouragement, and support.
We know nutrition can be the hardest part so this year on top of cutting the BS (bread and sugar), we want to give you the tools to track your meals and make changes to your diet that will help you meet your health and fitness goals.
Total Nutrition Heights will be in studio all day on Wednesday, March 24 and then again at the finish of our challenge with their InBody scale. The scale will use your age, height, weight, gender and scan your full body to give us LOTS of useful information. Specifically, we will use your BASAL METABOLIC RATE to determine how many calories you should be eating per day. We will use this data to set our nutrition goals, keep us focused through out the challenge, and see our progress at the end.
We will provide resources on how to plan and track your meals using MyFitnessPal. We believe it’s a great tool to help you understand the foods you are eating.
Daily Double Dares will be posted each day. (Examples include: Begin your day with 5 minutes of mediation, clean out your junk drawer, make a list of 5 things that you are grateful for today, etc.) The Daily Double Dares are meant to bring our Crew JOY and cultivate healthy habits that promote a positive outlook and a happy community.
